My Favorite Dish - Broccoli and Blue Cheese Quiche

I really love this dish since I am a big fan of broccoli and love my blue cheese too. I am going to teach you how to make it  in under an hour and 30 minutes including preparation time!
Firstly you'll need the right ingredients. For the pastry, you need:
  • 175g of plain flour
  • 75g of margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of cold water
  • salt
For the filling of the quiche, you'll need
  • 500g (1lb) broccoli
  • 150ml (5fl oz) milk
  • 125g (5oz) blue cheese
  • 3 eggs
Here are the cooking instructions.
1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Cut the margarine into small sized sections and fold it into the flour until the mixture is like fine breadcrumbs. Add 2 tablespoons of cold water and mix to get a firm dough. Wrap this in cling film and chill it for half an hour.
2. Whilst this is happening, cut the broccoli into florets and steam them for 8 minutes until just tender.
3. Roll out the pastry on a light floured surface to line a 20cm flan dish. Prick entire surface with a fork and bake blind at 200C (400F, mark 6) for 15 minutes until just firm to the touch.
4. Arrange the broccoli in the pastry case and crumble the blue cheese on top of it. Beat the eggs with the milk and pour over the broccoli.
5. Bake it at 200C for 40 minutes until it is set and browned.
